Night Sky Jewelry
Night Sky jewelry has been made by the Navajo for a little less than a decade. It is one of the most amazing and complex inlay processes that only a handful of inlay artists can create. The night sky jewelry represents the amazing night sky that we have in the southwest. With such a lack of light pollution, the southwest skies look like how they have for centuries, and what the ancestors of the inlay artists use to look up at every night.
Recently, our Hopi artist Veryl Pooyouma has created a Hopi overlay night sky collection, specifically for us, showcasing his amazing talent as a Hopi silversmith. These pieces are made of sterling silver and use a reverse hand stamped technique.
You will see both Navajo and Hopi Night Sky jewelry pieces below. The detail work in the pieces is incredible.
