MORE ON HOPI JEWELRY
Originally from the village of Hotevilla, Veryl Pooyouma is a full Hopi Indian of the Sun and Corn Clan. A self-taught artist, Pooyouma first learned the art of silversmithing by watching well-known Hopi artists Charles Loloma and Lawrence Saufkie. At 17, he began creating pieces of his own. Pooyouma now works with both traditional and contemporary Hopi designs, incorporating sterling silver and 14K gold into his one-of-a-kind jewelry.
Each of Pooyouma’s custom-made pieces symbolizes the Hopi spirit and way of life.
A great belt buckle for everyday use or that special occasion.
