Harrison Jim learned to make pottery from his mother-in-law Joy “Frogwoman” Navasie. He often collaborated with Marianne Navasie on his pottery, Marrianne Navasie has sense deceased.
His work combines carved designs with traditional Hopi imagery such as this beautifully carved Eagle Dancer. The two tadpoles on the back of this pot are in respect to his late wife Marianne Navasie.
